Overall, endeavour to choose a worktop material that is hardwearing, does not stain easily, is non-porous, is heat-resistant, does not scratch easily and is easy to clean. Some like granite are prone to stains and moisture filtration but when carefully sealed develop considerable resistance to the same. Each kitchen is different depending on one’s lifestyle; in some kitchen, the worktops may be regularly exposed to high heat levels while in others, heat levels are limited. In the first kitchen, the worktops have to be highly heat resistant, but in the second, the worktops chosen can have some susceptibility to heat. As they’re not exposed to the heat every day, they’re unlikely to be damaged.
